National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners

Dr. Barker is listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Association (FMCSA) National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners. The FMCSA National Registry allows motor carriers to be confident that drivers are physically capable and qualified to operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV).
The key to the FMCSA National Registry is the necessity that Certified Medical Examiners complete a thorough training course. Providers must pass a Certified Medical Examiners exam before being certified to provide CDL Medical Exams which are also referred to as DOT Physicals.

Certified Medical Examiners listed on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners can examine commercial drivers from any state. For a CDL Class A, B, or C or CDL permit, drivers must hold a US DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
